Ukraine's General Staff reported 224 combat engagements across the front on July 2. The Pokrovsk direction saw 28 attacks, while the Huliaipole direction experienced 20. Радіо Свобода also noted the Sloviansk direction as heavily targeted. Russian forces conducted two missile strikes with 75 missiles, 62 air strikes, and deployed 187 guided bombs. Meanwhile, the death toll from Russia's July 2 missile and drone assault on Kyiv has risen to 25, according to the State Emergency Service, though the city's military administration had earlier reported 23 fatalities. Search and rescue operations continue at three Darnytskyi district locations, with eight individuals still unaccounted for at one site. Separately, a hospital in Kherson was shelled, resulting in the death of a 63-year-old doctor and injury to a nurse.
