Ukraine reports 224 frontline engagements as Kyiv death toll reaches 25

Ukraine's General Staff reported 224 combat engagements on July 2, with intense fighting in Pokrovsk and Huliaipole. The death toll from the Kyiv attack rose to 25, while a Kherson hospital was shelled.
Ukraine's General Staff reported 224 combat engagements across the front on July 2, with the Pokrovsk direction experiencing 28 attacks and the Huliaipole direction 20. Russian forces also launched two missile strikes using 75 missiles, conducted 62 air strikes, and deployed 187 guided bombs. Meanwhile, the death toll from Russia's July 2 missile and drone assault on Kyiv has risen to 25. Emergency services are continuing search and rescue operations at three locations in the Darnytskyi district, where eight individuals are still unaccounted for at one site. Separately, a hospital in Kherson was shelled on the same day, killing a 63-year-old doctor and injuring a nurse.
