The death toll in Kyiv from Russia's July 2 missile and drone assault has risen to 25, with emergency services continuing search and rescue efforts at three locations in the Darnytskyi district. City military administration head Timur Tkachenko noted that eight individuals remain unaccounted for at one site where five bodies were recovered. Separately, Russian forces shelled a hospital in Kherson on the same day, killing a 63-year-old doctor and injuring a nurse. Amidst these attacks, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy renewed his appeal for the United States to provide licenses for Patriot missile manufacturing, expressing anticipation of a positive decision from Donald Trump. Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov also requested urgent Patriot transfers from approximately 40 partner nations.
