Ukraine's General Staff reported 224 combat engagements across the front on July 2, with the Pokrovsk direction experiencing 28 attacks and the Huliaipole direction 20. Russian forces also launched two missile strikes using 75 missiles, conducted 62 air strikes, and deployed 187 guided bombs. Meanwhile, the death toll from Russia's July 2 missile and drone assault on Kyiv has risen to 25, according to the State Emergency Service, though the city's military administration had earlier reported 23 fatalities. Search and rescue operations are continuing at three locations in the Darnytskyi district, where eight individuals remain unaccounted for at one site. Separately, a hospital in Kherson was shelled on the same day, killing a 63-year-old doctor and injuring a nurse.
