US and Iran exchange further strikes amid escalating tensions

The United States and Iran have engaged in a series of retaliatory military actions. On June 26, US forces conducted strikes on Iranian missile and drone storage facilities and coastal radar stations. US President Donald Trump stated these actions were in response to "another violation of the ceasefire agreement" and an attack on a vessel. In retaliation, Iran's Revolutionary Guard reportedly launched drone and missile attacks on June 27 against US military installations in Kuwait and Bahrain. The IRGC warned of a "devastating response" if US strikes continued. Later on June 27, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced additional strikes on Iranian targets, citing an attack on a tanker in the Strait of Hormuz. This escalation follows previous exchanges between the two nations.
