Ukrainian officials reported ongoing combat and civilian casualties following recent Russian actions. On July 3, a Russian drone attack in Sumy region's Romny community resulted in two women killed and one man injured after a residential building was hit. Concurrently, over 13 explosions and subsequent fires were reported in occupied Mariupol on the night of July 3, with a local resistance group indicating drones may have targeted parked trucks on Shevchenko Boulevard. The death toll from Russia's July 2 missile and drone assault on Kyiv rose to 25, as search and rescue operations continued at three Darnytskyi district sites, with eight individuals still unaccounted for at one location. Ukraine's General Staff also reported 224 combat engagements on July 2, noting significant Russian attacks in the Pokrovsk, Sloviansk, and Huliaipole directions, alongside two missile strikes, 62 air strikes, and 187 guided bombs.
