On the night of June 8, Russian forces launched 155 drones, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and Banderol types, from multiple directions against Ukraine. Ukrainian air defenses reportedly intercepted or suppressed 124 of these, with 20 recorded hits across northern, southern, and eastern regions. Separately, a drone attack on the same night caused a fire at the "Grushova" industrial site, part of the "Sheskharis" oil terminal in Novorossiysk, Russia. Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces conducted strikes on June 7-8, destroying a temporary Russian deployment point in Shchastia, Luhansk, identified as the 5th Cossack reconnaissance and assault brigade "Terek." Ukrainian Defense Forces also targeted Russian military facilities and personnel concentrations in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Additionally, a new Ukrainian technology allowing drones to autonomously intercept Shaheds has undergone combat testing in Kharkiv Oblast.
