Ukraine intercepts 124 Russian drones, Novorossiysk oil terminal hit

Ukraine's air defenses intercepted 124 of 155 Russian drones on June 8, with hits recorded at 20 locations. Separately, a drone attack caused a fire at the "Sheskharis" oil terminal in Novorossiysk, Russia.

On June 8, Ukraine's Air Force stated that 124 out of 155 Russian attack drones, including Shahed and other types, were intercepted or suppressed across northern, southern, and eastern regions. Hits were recorded at 20 locations. Separately, a drone attack on the night of June 8 caused a fire at the "Sheskharis" oil terminal in Novorossiysk, Russia, which has been targeted previously. Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces confirmed the destruction of a temporary Russian deployment point in Shchastia, Luhansk, on June 7. The commander of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces reported that the target was Russia's 5th Cossack reconnaissance and assault brigade "Terek," located 100 kilometers from the front line.
