Ukrainian military officials reported 197 combat engagements across the front lines on June 28, with Russian forces showing the most intense activity in the Sloviansk, Pokrovsk, and Huliaipole directions. Separately, Russian President Vladimir Putin acknowledged domestic fuel supply challenges, attributing them to Ukrainian attacks on oil infrastructure, and confirmed an existing ban on gasoline exports, with a diesel restriction anticipated. In Ukraine, a Russian missile strike on the Zmiivska community in the Kharkiv region on June 28 resulted in one fatality and seven injuries, including two children. The death toll from a guided aerial bomb strike in Zaporizhzhia rose to two, with 16 injured, among them two children, one in serious condition. Additionally, all 11 occupants, comprising five nurses, five instructors, and the pilot, died in a plane crash in Tomblaine, northeastern France, on June 28.
