Continued conflict in Ukraine leads to casualties and infrastructure damage

Recent military actions in Ukraine have led to further casualties and infrastructure damage, with Russian strikes causing deaths in Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipro. Ukrainian drones were intercepted over Moscow, while President Putin expressed readiness for US talks.

Ongoing hostilities in Ukraine have resulted in additional casualties and infrastructure damage. Russian missile strikes reportedly claimed at least eight lives in Kyiv. Further overnight attacks attributed to Russia in the Zaporizhzhia region resulted in three fatalities and eighteen injuries. Local authorities in Dnipro also reported four deaths from Russian bombardments. Separately, three people sustained injuries in Dnipropetrovsk, and ten were wounded in Sumy. These incidents caused electricity disruptions across the Sumy, Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia oblasts. Concurrently, Moscow's mayor, Sergei Sobyanin, announced that Russian air defenses successfully intercepted 46 Ukrainian drones targeting the capital early Tuesday, with no immediate reports of damage or casualties. Russian President Vladimir Putin reaffirmed his willingness to engage in discussions with American representatives, contingent on Washington addressing matters beyond Iran, stating, "We are ready to continue negotiations and the discussion of all the details."
