Ukraine sees continued Russian assaults and casualties; Moscow reports drone interception; Putin reiterates readiness for US talks

Russian forces continue assaults across Ukraine, causing casualties and power outages in multiple regions. Moscow's mayor reported 46 Ukrainian drones intercepted over the capital. Separately, President Putin reiterated his readiness for discussions with American representatives.

Russian military operations have persisted across Ukraine, leading to further casualties and infrastructure damage. Recent overnight attacks in the Zaporizhzhia oblast resulted in three deaths and eighteen injuries. Local authorities in Dnipro reported four fatalities from Russian bombardments, while three people were wounded in Dnipropetrovsk and ten in Sumy. Kyiv's military administration also confirmed at least two injuries from a Russian aerial assault on Sunday. These incidents caused power disruptions in the Sumy, Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions. Concurrently, Moscow's mayor, Sergei Sobyanin, announced that Russian air defenses intercepted 46 Ukrainian drones targeting the capital early Tuesday, with no immediate reports of damage or injuries. Russian President Vladimir Putin also reaffirmed his willingness to engage in talks with American representatives once Washington's attention shifts from Iran. "We are ready to continue negotiations and the discussion of all the details," Putin stated.
