The death toll from a Russian guided aerial bomb strike in Zaporizhzhia on June 28 has risen to two, with 16 individuals injured. Authorities identified one victim as a 53-year-old woman, while the second fatality's identity is still being established. This incident occurred during a broader Russian aerial assault overnight into June 28, which involved approximately 150 airborne targets, including "Zircon" or "Onyx" anti-ship missiles, "Iskander" ballistic missiles, and strike drones. Ballistic missiles also impacted Kyiv, causing fires and casualties in the Darnytskyi district. Separately, 241 combat engagements were reported along the front lines on June 27. In an unrelated event, a plane carrying parachutists crashed in Tomblaine, northeastern France, on June 28, killing all 11 people on board. The victims are believed to be five nurses, five instructors, and the pilot.
