This occurred amidst a significant nationwide aerial assault by Russia, which deployed approximately 150 airborne targets overnight into June 28. The attack included two "Zircon" or "Onyx" anti-ship missiles from Russia's Kursk region, six "Iskander" ballistic missiles from Bryansk, and 142 strike drones. Ballistic missiles also impacted Kyiv, igniting fires in the Darnytskyi district and causing casualties. Separately, 241 combat engagements were reported along the front lines on June 27.
