Ukraine reports extensive drone attacks and intensified fighting in Donbas

Ukrainian air defenses reported neutralizing 110 of 118 Russian uncrewed aerial vehicles launched overnight on June 13 across northern, southern, and eastern regions. Three drones impacted targets, and debris fell in six locations. Concurrently, the General Staff documented 193 combat engagements on June 12, including 61 air strikes, 193 guided aerial bombs, over 6,000 drone attacks, and 2,341 shelling incidents. In Kostiantynivka, urban combat continues as enemy forces have entered the city, with assault units conducting clearing operations. A battalion commander described the city as "semi-encircled" due to Russian advances near Chasiv Yar and Berestky. Military analysts suggest the situation in Kostiantynivka has "sharply worsened" in June, with one expert predicting its potential loss by Ukraine in "June-July." Additionally, the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant experienced its 19th complete loss of external power on June 10, following an attack on an electrical substation, necessitating backup diesel generators, as confirmed by the IAEA.
