Ukraine reports 210 combat engagements and ongoing drone attacks on July 1

Ukraine experienced continued Russian aggression on July 1, with the General Staff reporting 210 combat engagements across the front lines, including 23 in the Pokrovsk direction. Drone attacks persisted, notably in Kherson, where one person died and 20 were injured in a midday strike on the city center, following an earlier incident that killed two and wounded nine. Explosions were also heard in Kyiv as air defense systems intercepted incoming drones. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy cautioned that intelligence indicates Russia is preparing another large-scale strike. Meanwhile, Ukraine's Ambassador to NATO, Olena Hetmanchuk, confirmed that 90-92% of Patriot missile interceptors are supplied to Ukraine through the PURL procurement scheme.
