NATO secretary general addresses Russia, announces arms production boost

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced plans to increase arms production ahead of the July summit, while Ukraine provided updates on combat zones, SBU operations, and Kyiv's air defense activity.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte addressed Russia, stating allies plan to boost arms production. Ahead of the July 5-7 NATO summit, Rutte indicated new contracts and significant defense industry agreements would be announced. He conveyed a message to Russia: "We know what you are doing, and we are better at it." Meanwhile, Ukrainian officials provided updates on various fronts. In Donetsk, Operational Command "East" confirmed Russian infiltration attempts in Kostiantynivka, though its commander denied the city was encircled. The Kinburn Spit remains an active combat zone due to its strategic importance. Kyiv experienced evening explosions on June 25, with air defense systems active following a ballistic missile threat. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also authorized a 40-day influence operation by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) aimed at encouraging Russia to cease hostilities.
