On July 1, Ukraine experienced multiple Russian attacks, including drone strikes in Kherson and explosions in Kyiv. In Kherson, two separate drone incidents resulted in casualties. A minibus attack killed two, including an 18-year-old, and injured nine. Another drone strike on the city center claimed one life and wounded 20, also causing a fire and structural damage. Later that evening, explosions were reported in Kyiv, with air defense units engaging incoming enemy drones. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that intelligence indicates Russia is preparing another significant nationwide strike. Concurrently, Ukraine's Ambassador to NATO, Olena Hetmanchuk, confirmed that 90-92% of Patriot missile interceptors are supplied to Ukraine through the PURL procurement scheme.
