Zelenskyy continues diplomatic push, discusses peace conditions and military funding

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy continued his diplomatic efforts, emphasizing Europe's crucial role in any potential ceasefire negotiations due to the continent's security implications. He held discussions with French President Emmanuel Macron regarding diplomatic avenues and prospects for ending the conflict. Following a meeting with Zelenskyy, leaders from the UK, France, and Germany (E3 format) issued a joint statement condemning Russia's "Oreshnik" system and outlining five conditions for a lasting peace. Separately, Zelenskyy discussed with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer the complex issue of utilizing funds from the sale of Roman Abramovich's Chelsea Football Club to enhance Ukraine's air defense capabilities. Zelenskyy also reiterated his hope for international partner funding to transition Ukraine's military to a contract-based system, acknowledging that "being a soldier now is dangerous."
