Zelenskyy continues diplomatic push, discusses peace conditions and military funding

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has continued his diplomatic engagements, advocating for Europe's involvement in any future ceasefire negotiations, citing the continent's security implications. He held discussions with French President Emmanuel Macron, exploring diplomatic pathways and prospects for ending the conflict. Following a meeting with Zelenskyy, leaders from the UK, France, and Germany (E3 format) issued a joint statement. This statement condemned Russia's "Oreshnik" system and presented five conditions for achieving lasting peace. Separately, Zelenskyy discussed with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer the complex process of using funds from the sale of Roman Abramovich's Chelsea Football Club to bolster Ukraine's air defense capabilities. The Ukrainian leader also expressed his expectation of international financial support to transition the nation's military to a contract-based system, noting that "being a soldier now is dangerous."
