US and Iran continue strikes as Trump threatens new action and seizure of Kharg island

The United States and Iran have continued their exchange of military strikes across the Middle East, despite an April ceasefire. President Donald Trump announced plans for a "very strong" new strike on Iran, threatening to "bomb the shit out of Iran" if a proposed agreement is not reached. Trump also reiterated intentions to seize Kharg Island and other Iranian oil infrastructure, calling the earlier ceasefire "the most violated in history." US Central Command confirmed American forces have conducted "massive strikes" on Iranian military facilities, including air defense systems. In retaliation, Iran reportedly attacked US military sites in Bahrain and Kuwait, and declared the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Some reports indicate the US used several dozen Tomahawk missiles in its strikes.
