Trump announces new strikes and threats amid continued US-Iran exchanges

The US and Iran continue military exchanges, with President Trump announcing further "very strong" strikes and threatening to seize Iranian oil infrastructure. Iran has retaliated and declared the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

The United States and Iran have continued their military exchanges across the Middle East, despite an April ceasefire which President Donald Trump described as "the most violated in history." Trump announced plans for a "very strong" new strike on Iran, threatening to "bomb the shit out of Iran" if a proposed agreement is not reached. He also reiterated intentions to seize Kharg Island and other Iranian oil infrastructure. US Central Command confirmed American forces conducted "massive strikes" on Iranian military facilities, including air defense systems, with some reports indicating the use of several dozen Tomahawk missiles. In retaliation, Iran reportedly attacked US military sites in Bahrain and Kuwait, and declared the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
