Ukrainian forces confirm second Chonhar bridge strike; Russia reports closures and civilian casualties

Ukrainian military officials have confirmed a second successful strike on the Chonhar bridge in June, causing critical damage and compelling Russian forces to seek alternative supply routes for ammunition and fuel to Crimea. Russian-appointed authorities reported the bridge's closure on June 9, attributing it to an alleged drone attack where over 20 unmanned aerial vehicles were reportedly intercepted. Simultaneously, the bridge linking Henichesk to the Arabat Spit was also closed following an alleged Ukrainian missile strike, according to Russian-appointed officials. Commander Robert Brovdi of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces stated that Ukraine aims to isolate Crimea by gaining full control of the "Novorossiya" highway.
