Ukraine responds to Russian attacks amid continued combat and strikes

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy affirmed Ukraine's resolve to counter Russian attacks to weaken Moscow's ability to prolong the conflict. On June 29, Ukraine's General Staff documented 184 combat engagements, noting two missile strikes and 50 aerial attacks involving 136 guided bombs. Russian forces used a guided aerial bomb in Kharkiv, killing one person and injuring five. In Zaporizhzhia, a drone strike on a public transport vehicle caused two fatalities and six injuries, including a child. Concurrently, explosions were reported overnight in Russian-occupied Crimea.
