Ukrainian forces reportedly raised their flag on the Kinburn Spit after Russian occupiers withdrew, according to the Territorial Defense Forces "South." President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed Ukrainian strikes on two oil refineries in Ufa, Bashkortostan, and an oil depot in Russia's Krasnodar region on June 25, describing them as "consistent precise responses."
The European Union disbursed the initial €3.2 billion installment of a €90 billion loan to Ukraine, with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen also announcing future funding for drone production. Denmark is supplying an additional 15,000 long-range artillery shells to Ukraine, some already delivered, in response to Kyiv's request for prioritized long-range armaments. Separately, the French Navy detained the Russian "shadow fleet" tanker Deliver near Sicily for illegal passage, an action French President Emmanuel Macron said "shows the determination of Europeans."
