Ukraine reports drone casualties, Sumy injuries, and front-line clashes amid offensive warnings

A Russian drone strike on a minibus in Kherson on July 1 resulted in two fatalities, including an 18-year-old, and nine injuries. Separately, the number of individuals wounded from a guided aerial bomb attack on an infrastructure facility in Sumy increased to 21, with two requiring hospitalisation. On June 30, Ukrainian forces engaged in 203 combat clashes across the front lines, including 25 in the Pokrovsk sector. Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that a potential Russian offensive into the Chernihiv region from Bryansk Oblast remains a credible threat. He also noted reports that President Vladimir Putin has instructed his General Staff to evaluate various offensive scenarios, possibly including an advance from Belarus towards Kyiv. Throughout June, ten civilian sites, such as historical locations and residential areas, were reportedly targeted by Russian assaults, with over half sustaining damage.
