Lukashenka Addresses War Involvement, Nuclear Training, and Proposes Zelenskyy Meeting

Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenka stated Belarus would avoid the Ukraine conflict unless attacked, offered to meet President Zelenskyy, and was shown nuclear-capable missile training. Ukraine dismissed his offer as "meaningless."

Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenka recently declared that Belarus would not be drawn into the conflict with Ukraine unless its own territory faced aggression, asserting no intention to participate in the war. He also expressed readiness to meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy "at any point" in either nation, questioning the absence of direct talks. Ukraine's Presidential Office, however, dismissed these statements as "meaningless," advising to observe actions over words. Separately, Lukashenka was shown an Iskander-M missile launcher, reportedly used for training in nuclear weapon deployment, a system he reportedly once "dreamed of."
