Kyiv death toll rises to 21 following extensive Russian missile and drone attack

The death toll from Russia's extensive missile and drone assault on Ukraine on July 2 has risen to 21 in Kyiv, according to emergency services. The capital also saw 85 people injured, including two children, following the attack that involved 74 missiles and 496 uncrewed aerial vehicles, primarily targeting the city. Significant damage was reported across all Kyiv districts, with a residential building in Darnytskyi particularly affected. Separately, a guided aerial bomb strike in the Dnipropetrovsk region resulted in the death of a 7-year-old girl and injuries to four others, including an 11-year-old.
