German prosecutors charge Ukrainian over Nord Stream blasts as Kyiv faces major airstrikes

German prosecutors have formally charged a Ukrainian national, identified as Serhii K, in connection with the 2022 Nord Stream pipeline explosions. The individual is accused of leading and coordinating the sabotage of the natural gas infrastructure, a development that follows previous reports of his arrest in Italy. Concurrently, Russian forces launched a significant drone and missile attack on Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, overnight. The strikes resulted in at least one fatality and prompted evacuations in several neighborhoods. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that some individuals remain trapped under rubble, hours after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had warned of an impending "massive" attack.
