Funeral held for infant shot dead by Israeli soldier in West Bank

A funeral has taken place for a seven-month-old Palestinian baby who was fatally shot by an Israeli soldier in Hebron, in the occupied West Bank. The incident occurred on Friday evening while the infant was in a car with family members. The Israeli military reported that a shot was fired after soldiers in the Tel Rumeida area "perceived a threat" from the vehicle. In contrast, the family stated they had obeyed orders to stop and presented no danger. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has initiated an investigation into the shooting.
