On Monday, June 29, Reporters Without Borders (RSF) and Gleizes's relatives renewed their appeal for his immediate release and a pardon from Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. Thibaut Bruttin, RSF's Director General, who also heads the journalist's support committee, issued a statement asserting that Gleizes is "unjustly detained." The organization has consistently advocated for Gleizes's freedom since his arrest.
