Ten people remain unaccounted for, and President Zelenskyy stated that search operations would continue "as long as needed." Ukrainian investigators have attributed direct responsibility for this attack to Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces. Separately, during the night of July 2-3, Russia launched two Kh-59/69 guided missiles and 105 attack drones across Ukraine. Air defense systems intercepted 83 threats, though one missile and 21 drones struck 16 different locations. On the battlefield, 273 combat engagements were recorded on July 2, with Ukrainian forces repelling 39 assaults in the Pokrovsk sector, 32 near Huliaipole, and 30 in the Sloviansk area.
