This comes as the death toll from Russia's July 2 missile and drone assault on Kyiv increased to 25, with search and rescue operations continuing at three sites in the Darnytskyi district, where eight individuals remain unaccounted for at one location. Separately, a hospital in Kherson was shelled on July 2, killing a 63-year-old doctor and injuring a nurse. Ukraine's General Staff reported 224 combat engagements across the front lines on July 2, with the Pokrovsk, Sloviansk, and Huliaipole directions experiencing the highest number of Russian attacks, including 28 in Pokrovsk and 20 in Huliaipole. Russian forces also conducted two missile strikes involving 75 missiles, 62 air strikes, and deployed 187 guided bombs.
