Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that a Russian offensive into the Chernihiv region from Bryansk Oblast is a realistic threat, for which Ukraine is preparing. He also noted that President Vladimir Putin has tasked his General Staff with evaluating various offensive options, including from Belarus, to capture Kyiv. Ukrainian forces additionally reported approximately 1,350 Russian personnel killed or wounded on June 29, alongside 71 artillery systems destroyed.
