Ukrainian defense forces reported an estimated 1,230 Russian service members were killed or injured in the past 24 hours, bringing total reported Russian losses to 1,402,200 since February 2022. On June 28, 197 combat engagements occurred, with Russian forces focusing offensive actions in the Sloviansk, Pokrovsk, and Huliaipole areas. Meanwhile, Russian attacks on Ukrainian territory resulted in civilian casualties, including one death and seven injuries, two of them children, in Kharkiv region's Zmiivska community. Explosions were reported in occupied Crimea overnight into June 29, with satellite imagery indicating fires near a civil aviation airfield in Kerch and the "Maryanivka" power substation, which experienced partial power outages. Russian President Vladimir Putin acknowledged domestic fuel supply issues, attributing them to Ukrainian strikes on oil infrastructure, and confirmed a ban on gasoline exports, with a similar measure for diesel anticipated.
