The death toll from the powerful earthquakes in Venezuela has risen, with conflicting reports on the exact number. Jorge Rodríguez, head of the National Assembly, stated that at least 1,430 people have died, and 3,238 individuals sustained injuries. However, other reports indicate a lower figure of 920 fatalities. Search and rescue operations are continuing non-stop in the affected areas, with many still unaccounted for. Venezuela has received substantial international assistance, with over 1,600 foreign rescue personnel arriving on 17 flights. An additional 25 flights are anticipated to deliver more teams, who are actively engaged in the urgent search for survivors.
