US prosecutors seek 18-month sentence for Russian citizen Nommi Zarubina

US federal prosecutors have recommended a minimum of 18 months in prison for Russian citizen Nommi Zarubina. She previously pleaded guilty in a Manhattan federal court to making false statements regarding her interactions with Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB). Zarubina was also accused of sending intoxicated messages to the FBI following her initial admission. Her legal team has requested that she receive no additional prison time beyond what she has already served. Judge Laura Swain is scheduled to deliver the final sentencing decision on June 11.
