The US government's priority, articulated by diplomat Marco Rubio, has been to prevent any Ebola cases from entering the country, stating: "We cannot and will not let a single case of Ebola enter the United States." To achieve this, the US has implemented increasingly broad travel bans, facilitated the transfer of sick Americans to Europe, and established a quarantine facility in Kenya.
