UN commission reiterates 'genocide' accusation, West Bank raid kills Palestinian, and Hezbollah alleges ceasefire breaches
A UN commission reaffirmed its 'genocide' accusation against Israel regarding Gaza, while Israeli forces killed a Palestinian in the West Bank. Hezbollah also accused Israel of ceasefire violations in Lebanon.
An international United Nations commission of inquiry reiterated on June 23 its finding of an ongoing "genocide" in the Gaza Strip, accusing Israel of "deliberately targeting" Palestinian children. The commission stated that "by targeting children, Israel attacks the very capacity of the Palestinian people to exist," echoing a previous assessment. Separately, on June 24, Israeli forces killed 29-year-old Mohammed Zayed during a raid in Al-Yamoun, occupied West Bank, a death confirmed by the Israeli army after reports from Palestinian authorities. Additionally, Hezbollah accused Israel of two ceasefire violations in Lebanon within 48 hours, following an Israeli drone strike that killed two people, a day after two others died from Israeli fire.
