Ukrainian President Zelenskyy meets Macron and Merz in UK

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's UK visit included an "E3 plus Ukraine" meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. This follows reports of Zelenskyy inviting Roman Abramovich to Kyiv to relay a message to Putin.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's visit to the United Kingdom for talks with Prime Minister Keir Starmer included an "E3 plus Ukraine" meeting, which featured French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. This engagement follows earlier reports, corroborated by the Financial Times, that President Zelenskyy had invited Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich to Kyiv last month to relay a message to Russian President Vladimir Putin about a possible personal meeting. In other developments, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) confirmed that external power was restored to the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant on Saturday, June 6, after a 15-hour disruption, the 18th such occurrence. Separately, Minister Oleksii Kuleba stated that Russian forces attacked two civilian search-and-rescue vessels on a humanitarian mission in Ukraine's maritime corridor, causing injuries, with Ukrainian naval forces evacuating those affected.
