Ukrainian forces target Russian corvette; drone activity and countermeasures continue

Ukrainian forces reportedly attacked a Russian corvette in Kronstadt. Drone activity continued in Ukraine, with two injured in Kherson. Ukrainian defenses downed hundreds of drones, while Russia plans to increase jet-powered UAVs.

Ukrainian forces reportedly attacked the Russian corvette "Boykiy" in Kronstadt, with satellite imagery showing firefighters extinguishing a blaze on the vessel. Separately, a Russian drone strike in Kherson injured two men, aged 54 and 45, who are now receiving medical care. On the defensive front, Chernihiv border guards announced they had downed their 500th Russian Shahed drone of the year on June 4. Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, stated that Ukrainian interceptor drones destroyed over 3,500 Russian unmanned aerial vehicles in May. Syrskyi also warned that Russia plans to increase its proportion of jet-powered attack drones to 50%, necessitating a prompt response.
