Ukrainian officials reported ongoing intense combat and Russian aerial assaults, including drone and missile strikes on the Kharkiv region causing casualties, and damage to a Chornobyl facility.

Ukrainian officials reported ongoing intense combat activity and Russian aerial assaults across the front. On June 8, the General Staff recorded 260 combat engagements, detailing Russian forces' use of three missiles, 282 guided aerial bombs, and over 10,000 kamikaze drones, alongside thousands of shellings. Over the preceding day, Russian forces reportedly sustained approximately 1,370 personnel losses, four tanks, five armored combat vehicles, and 75 artillery systems. Separately, on the night of June 9, Russian drone and missile strikes targeted the Kharkiv region, impacting Kharkiv city and Chuhuiv, resulting in at least three fatalities and seven injuries, and damaging residential buildings. Earlier, on June 7, a Russian drone partially damaged a container reception building at the Central Spent Nuclear Fuel Storage facility in the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, though no spent nuclear fuel was present, and radiation levels remained normal.
