Ukrainian Fire Point tests new FP-7.x missile, eyes mass production by August

Ukrainian defense company Fire Point has successfully conducted the first flight test of its new FP-7.x anti-aircraft missile. This missile is being developed as a more cost-effective and mass-producible alternative to the American Patriot air defense system, addressing Ukraine's ongoing need for robust air defense capabilities. Fire Point co-founder Denys Shtilerman indicated that mass production of the FP-7.x missiles is projected to begin in August of this year. The company anticipates that complete defense complexes incorporating these missiles will be operational by 2027. This initiative represents a significant step towards enhancing Ukraine's domestic defense manufacturing.
