Ukraine plans to seek an additional $20 billion in military assistance from allied nations at the Ramstein meeting on June 18. This request aims to solidify its battlefield advantage and increase strikes on Russian territory, with an official reportedly stating the objective is "so Russia burns." Meanwhile, the United States intends to substantially decrease its military assets assigned to NATO operations in Europe, including a significant portion of its fighter jets and naval vessels, a development that could influence the ongoing conflict. Separately, German Army Chief Christian Freuding has renewed warnings that Russia could initiate an attack on NATO members by 2029 or even earlier, prompting Germany to accelerate weapon production and improve army provisions.
