He affirmed, "The agreement is planned to be signed tomorrow, and immediately after its signing, the Strait of Hormuz will be open to all." This declaration followed a June 12 report, citing a senior US official, that both countries had agreed on the document's wording. However, other reports, referencing CNN, suggested a "framework" agreement might be signed on Sunday in Geneva, indicating further negotiations would be required. These diplomatic developments occur after Trump's earlier threats of a "very strong strike" against Iran, which he subsequently cancelled.
