Sevastopol introduces QR code fuel rationing system
Russian-occupied Sevastopol has introduced a new QR code-based fuel rationing system, allowing drivers to purchase up to 20 liters of gasoline weekly. The initial batch of codes reportedly ran out within an hour.
Authorities in Russian-occupied Sevastopol have launched a new system for fuel sales, according to Mikhail Razvozhaev, the city's "governor." The initiative allows drivers to obtain a personal QR code once a week, enabling them to purchase up to 20 liters of gasoline. The service initially operates at "TES" network filling stations, with QR codes valid from 09:00 to 21:00. Reports indicate that the first batch of QR codes was depleted within an hour of the system's launch. This measure aims to regulate fuel distribution in the region.
