Sens bookstores to launch first franchise in Lviv
Ukrainian bookstore chain "Sens" is set to open its first franchise in Lviv by summer 2026. Founder Oleksiy Eryinchak emphasizes franchising as the sole growth model when credit is inaccessible and funds are depleted.
Ukrainian bookstore chain "Sens" has announced the launch of its first franchise location in Lviv, with an opening anticipated in summer 2026. Founder Oleksiy Eryinchak stated that this model involves franchisees investing in the new store, while the "Sens" team will oversee operational processes. Eryinchak highlighted that attracting partner funds via franchising is "the only model for development" when traditional credit for the book business is unavailable and internal capital is depleted. This expansion strategy mirrors that of other Ukrainian book retailers, such as book.ua, which currently operates four franchise bookstores. The initiative aims to grow the bookstore network under current economic constraints.
