Qatar reports "positive progress" in US-Iran talks in Doha

Qatar's Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Majed al-Ansari, has reported "positive progress" in indirect technical discussions between American and Iranian negotiators. The talks, held in Doha, Qatar, on July 1, were mediated by Qatar and Pakistan. According to al-Ansari, the discussions focused on issues related to the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding. He further indicated via social media that the participating parties have agreed to continue their dialogue in the near future. These discussions represent ongoing diplomatic efforts to address various points of contention between the United States and Iran.
