Private laboratories sue Ukrainian government over reduced medical guarantees program payments

Private laboratories CSD Lab and Synevo have filed lawsuits against the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers and the National Health Service of Ukraine (NHSU). The legal challenge, initiated at the Kyiv District Administrative Court, concerns a revised order within the Medical Guarantees Program. This new regulation reportedly decreases compensation for private healthcare providers by approximately 30%. Proceedings in the case were opened in June 2026. The laboratories contend that these reduced payments could potentially compel them to withdraw from the state program, raising questions about the future availability of certain medical services for patients.
