An investigation into the Monday, June 29 explosion in Monaco, which injured three people, has been launched for attempted assassination. Two individuals remain in serious condition following the blast on Rue du Révérend Père Louis Frolla. Authorities previously described the incident, caused by an explosive device left in a bag, as an "apparently malicious act" and "very likely an attack." The principality's prosecutor general, Stéphane Thibault, stated that a terrorist qualification is not currently being considered.
