Moldova expands list of artists whose performances are not recommended

Moldova's Ministry of Culture has expanded its list of artists from post-Soviet countries whose performances are not recommended, citing potential security risks. The updated list includes several Russian groups and individual performers.

Moldova's Ministry of Culture has expanded its list of artists from post-Soviet countries whose performances are not recommended within the nation. Published on June 25, the updated list now includes several Russian groups such as "Leningrad," "Nochnye Snaipery," t.A.T.u, and "Ruki Vverh," along with individual performers like Leonid Agutin and Igor Nikolaev. The ministry indicated that these recommendations stem from concerns that their appearances could "create risks for the country's security." This initiative builds upon earlier reports that Ukrainian singer Oleg Vynnyk and Russian rapper Morgenstern were also on the list, which was initially compiled following requests from state cultural institutions. The measure aims to regulate cultural events and public appearances. Sources: Радіо Свобода, Українська правда.
